Most divers choose the BlackTip Tech.
The BlackTip Tech underwater scooter is fast, light and quiet, making it an excellent choice for just about any dive.
This model is neutrally buoyant and sits trim in the water. It also comes with a trim plate to make it easy to switch between fresh and salt water dives.
You will also need two DeWalt power tool batteries (12Ah recommended) and a charger – you can get these from your local hardware store. The use of these power tool batteries (PTBs) makes it a great unit for travel.
You can learn more about the BlackTip Tech at Dive Xtras. The BlackTip Travel and BlackTip Exploration are also available, but almost all customers opt for the BlackTip Tech. You can purchase a Travel or Exploration tube later to convert your BlackTip Tech if you find the need.
